Biographical Information[edit]
Carlos Mosquera has played in the minors and for the Panamanian national team.
Mosquera was signed by Los Angeles Dodgers scout Luis Molina in February 2014. [1] He hit .181/.287/.259 for the 2014 DSL Dodgers with 4 triples in 116 AB. In '15, he batted .271/.358/.347 for the same team, with 20 steals in 30 tries, 5th in the Dodgers chain in swipes (between Mike Ahmed and Scott Schebler). Starting in center for the 2016 AZL Dodgers, he hit .263/.299/.373. In 145 minor league games, he had produced at a .243/.320/.329 with 8 triples, 66 runs, 34 RBI and 31 steals in 48 tries. He fielded .943.
In the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, he started in right field for Panama. He was 3 for 12 with a triple and two runs; in right, he had 7 putouts, one assist and no error. [2] He played one game for Panama in the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier, going 0 for 3 with a hit-by-pitch and a RBI. [3]
