Biographical Information[edit]

Carla Minier pitched for the Dominican women's national team in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, the country's first Women's Baseball World Cup. She started on the mound against Hong Kong and beat Ting Fung, going the distance in a five-inning mercy rule rout. She began by retiring Ka-Man Evelyn Law, Yik-Shan Hung and Tsz-Chin Lau. Her first strikeout was Wai-Yee Vivien Cheung. She finished with four whiffs, allowing three hits and one run while walking none. She also pitched against Team USA, giving up two runs (one earned) in 3 2/3 IP (3 H, 2 BB, 0 K). She led the Dominicans in ERA, .53 ahead of Lorena Medrano, and their first complete game in a Women's Baseball World Cup. [1]
