Caracas Metropolitanos

From BR Bullpen

The Caracas Metropolitanos were members of the short-lived Inter-American League in 1979. Based in Caracas, the team's prominent names were Venezuelan natives Cesar Tovar (.285) and Luis Sanchez (2-4, 4.89, one of the worst pitchers on the staff). Jim Busby managed the club to a 37-27 record, second in the league behind the Miami Amigos. The team drew 3,500 fans per game, more than double any other team in the league.
