Biographical Information[edit]
Cap Crossley played in the minor leagues from 1923 until 1937, hitting .300 7 times, including a .361 mark for Peoria in 1930. He made occasional pitching appearances thereafter while he managed in the minors (1935-1945).
He later spent time as a scout for the Cincinnati Reds (1946-1948) and Chicago White Sox (1949-1950).
