Team History[edit]
In 2002 the London Werewolves moved to Canton, OH and were renamed the Canton Coyotes. The independent team went 41-43, fourth in the 6-team Eastern Division. The club was managed by Gregg Neuman. The team had no All-Stars, though Ben Hickman (3-4, 2.66) was third in the Frontier League in ERA.
The club was not able to compete with the neighboring Akron Aeros, who had just received a new stadium. They drew the fewest fans (30,971) in the league, though, and the team moved to Columbia, MO the next year, changing its name to Mid-Missouri Mavericks.
