Biographical Information[edit]

Cam McRae was the chairman and primary owner of the Kinston Indians. He was the main investor in the Indians when they were purchased in 1994 through the sale of the team in 2011.

McRae made his fortune as a restaurant owner. He currently owns 50 Bojangles chicken restaurants in eastern North Carolina as well as the Peach House Restaurant in Kinston. He has since branched out in other areas including owning two convenience stores and a resort in The Bahamas on Crooked Island. Besides being a businessman, McRae served with the North Carolina Department of Transportation before resigning in May 2009.

McRae's daughter is very close friends with Emmy Award winning actress Jaime Pressly who grew up in Kinston. In interviews, Pressly has stated that Cam is one of the people in her life that she admires the most.
