Biographical Information[edit]
Calvin Beamon played two seasons in the minor leagues.
Beamon won the 2003 Junior College World Series with the Community College of Southern Nevada. He transferred to the University of Texas in 2005 and hit .253 with 5 steals in 99 AB. Texas won the 2005 College World Series. Calvin next transferred to UNLV, where he redshirted in 2006 before graduating in 2007.
Undrafted, he was signed by the Seattle Mariners and scout Greg Whitworth in May 2007. He hit .247/.331/.325 in 63 games for the '07 Wisconsin Timber Rattlers with 14 steals in 20 tries. For the same club in 2008, he batted .239/.309/.322 in 53 games but only was 4-for-9 in steal attempts. That ended his minor league career apparently.
