Biographical Information[edit]

C.J. Beatty was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 26th round of the 2009 Amateur Draft from North Carolina A&T State University and played in their minor league system from 2009-2010. From there he moved to the independent leagues where he played through the 2015 season except for brief stints with the Winston-Salem Dash in 2014 & 2015. Through seven years of professional ball, Beatty hit .281/.366/.480 while splitting his defensive work between the infield and outfield.

Beatty returned to the Cardinals organization in 2016 as an assistant hitting coach for the State College Spikes. This was his final endeavor in professional baseball. According to his LinkedIn page, Beatty went into business after 2016, including working as a motivational speaker.
