Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher C.D. Pelham played for the United States team at the 2018 Futures Game. He made his major league debut on September 5, 2018 with the Texas Rangers.

Pelham is the seventh player born in Lancaster, SC to come to the majors. He attended Spartanburg Methodist College, an institution that some well-known players also attended: Orlando Hudson, Mookie Wilson, Reggie Sanders, Jerry Martin, Bill Landrum and Dwight Smith. Through 2019, the only other big leaguer with the name Pelham has been Pelham Ballenger.

Starting in the minors at age 20 in 2015, he first came to A+ and AA ball in 2018, and first was in AAA ball in 2019.
