Biographical Information[edit]
César Ortega has played in the minors and for the Venezuelan national team.
He was 3 for 13 with four walks and four RBI in 13 games for the 2018 DSL Rangers 1, then hit .311/.436/.333 in 56 plate appearances for them in 2019. After the 2020 minor league season was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic, he hit .263/.384/.374 with 30 runs and 16 steals (in 20 tries) in 52 games for the 2021 DSL Rangers 2, fielding .973 at first and .852 in left. In the 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup, he hit .176/.263/.176 as Venezuela's main left fielder.
