Biographical Information[edit]
Byoung-joon Kim played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 3 years.
Kim played for South Korea in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, allowing five runs in six innings. The Hanwha Eagles signed him after he went undrafted in the 1999 KBO draft, and he had a 5.67 ERA in 22 games in his first season. Kim then went 1-0 with a 2.93 ERA in 2001, but his ERA rose to 6.15 in 15 games in 2002. The Eagles released him after the 2002 season, and he became a commentator for the KBS from 2011 to 2015.
Overall, Kim was 2-2 with a 4.93 ERA, struck out 63 and pitched 96 2/3 innings in 3 seasons in the KBO.
