Biographical Information

Buster Turner was on Team USA when they won Silver in the 1978 Amateur World Series; several teammates made the majors and most or all of the others played pro ball. Perhaps Turner was included as his Texas A&M coach Tom Chandler was managing the team. Turner backed up future big leaguer Don Crow at catcher. He batted once, grounding into a double play, and did not play the field at all.
