Bryon Bell signed with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2003. He tore his labrum in spring training in 2004 and only made it into one game as a pro, with the 2004 Pulaski Blue Jays, allowing 3 runs in one inning. Toronto released him in 2005 when he did not rehab from his injury. Bell then played for the Kitchener team in the Intercounty Baseball League of Canada, where he had an ERA of 7.07 in 14 IP. At bat, he was last on his team, hitting .158, with an OB% of.273 in 14 games.

In 2008, Bell came to Belgium to play with the Antwerp Greys. He hit .521/.587/1.146 with 7 homers, 21 runs and 30 RBI in 48 at-bats. He was second in the First Division in average and led in home runs, runs and RBI. In the 2008 European Cup in Grosseto, Bell was 9 for 20 with two doubles, two homers, a walk and 5 RBI. He fielded .897, with 3 errors, playing mostly shortstop. He also struck out 4 batters in two scoreless innings. He was 4th in the tourney in average, tied Daniel Sanchez and Willie Vasquez for third in hits, tied for 5th in RBI, led in home runs and tied Richard Montiel for the most total bases.

In the 2009 European Cup, Bell hit .235/.350/.471 with one home run, again being Antwerp's top threat. He allowed one run on 3 walks in two innings, fanning four and taking the loss to the Rouen Huskies.
