Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Bruce Chick played in the minor leagues from 1990 to 1995. He was taken by the Boston Red Sox in the 15th round of the 1990 amateur draft, one pick after pitcher Steve Soderstrom.

He reached double digits in home runs and steals for the only time in 1991, knocking 10 of each for the Lynchburg Red Sox. In 1993, he reached Triple A for the first and only time, slashing .305/.348/.451 in 29 games for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He hit .372/.408/.500 in 50 games for the Central Valley Rockies in 1994, after struggling to begin the season in the Red Sox chain. On the year as a whole, he batted .321/.353/.439 with 90 hits in 75 games. In 1995, Chick wrapped up his career in the Montreal Expos system.

Overall, Chick batted .266/.312/.372 with 529 hits, 31 home runs and 246 RBI in 551 games.
