Pitcher Brock Porter won the 2022 Gatorade Player of the Year award. He was taken by the Texas Rangers in the 4th round of the 2022 amateur draft; his signing bonus was $3,700,000. He began his professional career in 2023, pitching for the Down East Wood Ducks.
