Biographical Information[edit]

Britt Bonneau is a college coach.

Bonneau was a star outfielder at Lubbock Christian, being named All-American NAIA in 1991 after leading the NAIA in hits (111), runs (109) and RBI (98) and finishing third with 19 home runs. Transferring to Oklahoma, he hit .285 with a team-best 72 runs to help Oklahoma make it to the 1992 College World Series.

Britt was signed by the Chicago Cubs and hit .255/.349/.405 for the Huntington Cubs while starting at second base; he also batted .208/.269/.292 in 9 games for the Geneva Cubs. In 1993, Bonneau hit .275 and slugged .402 while delivering 27 doubles for the independent Tyler Wildcatters. He was also an assistant at the University of Texas-San Antonio that year.

In 1994, Bonneau was an assistant at Lubbock Christian and batted .253 while slugging .336 for the Lubbock Crickets. He became an assistant coach at Abilene Christian University in 1996.

In 1997, Britt was promoted to head coach of Abilene Christian at age 26. After 13 years, he had gone 542-231-1 to set a school record for wins. He guided Abilene Christian to the 2003 Division II College World Series, their first Division II World Series appearance ever. He stayed at Abilene Christian through 2018, then became an assistant at University of Oklahoma.
