Biographical Information

Brian Specht was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 9thround of the 1999 amateur draft. He turned down a scholarship to Baylor University to sign with the Angels for $600,000.

Specht made his pro debut in High A ball for the Lake Elsinore Storm in 2000, unusual for a player out of high school. He played in the Ange;s' chain through 2006, spending the last 3 seasons in AAA.
