Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Brian Hostetler was taken by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 24th round of the 1992 amateur draft, ahead of future All-Star infielders Geoff Jenkins and Rich Aurilia. He began his pro career that year.

He slashed .313/.403/.503 with 8 home runs and 56 RBI for the rookie level Helena Brewers his debut campaign, earning a spot on the Pioneer League All-Star team, but slumped to .221/.334/.316 between two A level clubs the next year. After the 1995 campaign, he was out of baseball.

Overall, Hostetler hit .264/.364/.385 with 17 home runs and 124 RBI in 245 games. He appeared on the mound a few times in 1993 and 1994, posting a 1.93 ERA in five relief appearances.
