Biographical Information[edit]

"(Crash Davis) is completely fictional. I'm for real." - Brian Dallimore in 2004, after being compared to the character from the movie Bull Durham who had spent years in the minors

Brian Dallimore hit .273/.407/.682 as the 3B-LF for Team USA in the 1994 Baseball World Cup, starting ahead of Casey Blake. 10 years later, he made it to the major leagues.

He was in the majors with the San Francisco Giants in 2004 and 2005, making his debut at age 30. During a ten-year minor-league career, he had a batting average of .294, playing 516 games at third base, 343 at second base, 121 at shortstop, 30 in the outfield and one at first base.

He attended Clark High School in Las Vegas, NV, where he was all-state. His father Fred Dallimore was coach at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. He went to Stanford University and as of 2004 he was only one course short of a psychology degree.

Dallimore was the batting champ of the Pacific Coast League in 2003 but didn't get a call-up to the majors.
