Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Brett Robinson played in the Chicago Cubs system from 1987 to 1990, then he played briefly in independent ball in 1994. He was 5-4 with a 2.40 ERA in 18 games (14 starts) for the Geneva Cubs in 1987, then he went 9-6 with a 3.64 ERA in 30 games (16 starts) for the Peoria Chiefs in 1988. In 1989, he went 15-9 with 5 complete games, 3 shutouts and a 2.79 mark in 28 starts for the Chiefs, then he was 5-7, 3.75 in 23 games (14 starts) between two clubs in 1990. He returned to pro ball in 1994, making two relief appearances for the Champaign-Urbana Bandits. He also managed the club for part of the season, replacing Rich Bristow.

In four seasons in the Cubs system, he went 34-26 with a 3.12 ERA in 99 games (72 starts); he was 34-27 with a 3.12 ERA overall.
