Brett Murray
Brett Murray used to play shortstop and pitch for the Arvernes de Clermont-Ferrand in Division Elite. Acquired by Arvernes in 2008, he previously played college ball at UBC (the University of British Columbia) and also played with the Redcliffe Padres in the lower Australian leagues. While with the Padres in the 2007/2008 season he finished the season with an ERA of 2.42 and 122 strikeouts over the course of 104 1/3 innings and a 11-3 pitching record, highest in the league. Brett also contributed with the bat collecting 38 hits, including 11 doubles in the season. In 2008 in France, Murray had a 2.42 ERA and hit .289, but he was replaced on the roster following the season.
