Biographical Information[edit]
Brett Monaghan was a college coach.
Monaghan was an All-State pitcher in high school. He was an assistant coach at Hubbard-Radcliffe High School in 2000-2001 and Marshalltown Community College from 2001-2006. He also was head coach of BCLUW High School from 2004-2006. From 2007-2011, he was head coach of Iowa Wesleyan College while also working as a Cincinnati Reds associate scout. He was 32-19 his first year at IWC, the school's first winning season in 12 years. They fell to 21-27 in 2008 before rebounding to 29-22 in 2009 and 31-23 in 2010 as Monaghan became IWC's all-time leader in wins. He then became an assistant coach at Indian Hills Community College.
