Biographical Information[edit]

Minor Leaguer Brett Harper is the son of Brian Harper. He was drafted in the 45th round of the 2000 amateur draft by the New York Mets as a draft-and-follow pick. After a year of junior college, Harper was signed by scout Kevin Frady in May 2001 and made his pro debut that summer.

Harper has spent the 2008-2010 seasons in AAA in four different organizations, but never got the call to the majors. From 2010 to 2012 he played in Japan. He then played for various teams in the Mexican League through 2016.
