Biographical Information

Catcher Brett Hambright has been drafted a couple times.

Hambright hit .432/.552/.667 as a senior in high school. The Philadelphia Phillies took him in the 34th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He went on to UC Riverside for a year. Transferring to Riverside Community College, he hit .313 as a sophomore. The Colorado Rockies picked him in the 38th round of the 2009 amateur draft. He transferred again, this time to Oregon, and was redshirted in 2010. He hit .261/.370/.275 in 2011 and .217/.340/.274 in 2012. Despite those numbers, he was picked for the US college national team in 2012, a role usually reserved for top prospects.
