Biographical Information[edit]

Brantley Jones was picked by the Atlanta Braves in the 36th round of the 1966 amateur draft, one pick before Jim Johnson. He went on to college, going 27-8 with a 2.00 ERA. He had a 9-0, 1.51 record as a senior. Pitching for Team USA in the 1969 Amateur World Series, he was 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 18 K in 14 IP as the US won Silver; he beat Mexico and Panama. He later was inducted into the MSU Hall of Fame.
