Biographical Information[edit]

Brandon Macias played minor league ball in the Milwaukee Brewers organization from 2011-2016 and reached the AAA level in his last year. With the Mexican League refusing to allow its players to play for the Mexican national team in the 2015 Premier 12, the team was forced to rely on players of Mexican descent primarily, such as Macias. He hit .200/.276/.200 with 3 runs and one RBI in eight games; their starting third baseman, he fielded .947. Only Yuli Gurriel, Nobuhiro Matsuda and Pete Orr fielded better at the hot corner. Macias spent the final three years of his playing career (2017-2019) in the Mexican League.

The Brewers hired Macias in 2020 to be the hitting coach for the AZL Brewers Gold team before COVID-19 caused the minor league season to be cancelled.
