Biographical Information[edit]

Brandon Graves pitched one season in pro ball.

Graves had 11 wins, 7 saves, a 3.04 ERA and 85 strikeouts as a college senior in 2009 and was named the top reliever in the Gulf South Conference. He then got into three games for the River City Rascals (1-0, 4 H, 2 BB, 8 K, 1 R in 7 IP) before the San Francisco Giants picked him in the 35th round of the 2009 amateur draft [1]. He was 2-2 with a 3.69 ERA in 21 games for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, giving up 41 hits and 12 walks in 31 2/3 IP while striking out 28. His highlight came August 22 when he was part of a combined no-hitter against the Everett AquaSox. He relieved Craig Westcott in the 6th and tossed a perfect inning before giving way to Wilber Bucardo. It was the first no-hitter in the team's history.
