Catcher Bradley Erasmus played for the South African national team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic at age 17. He had one at-bat, pinch-hitting for Kyle Botha against Mexico's Antonio Osuna and flying out to center field. He did not play the field. He has not been with South Africa for a major event since then though he did appear in the 2006 World Junior Championship. His brother, Justin Erasmus, has also represented South Africa, and played professionally throughout the world; their father Gavin Erasmus also played for South Africa.
