Biographical Information[edit]

After winning the Indiana Mr. Baseball Award, outfielder Brad Weber was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the eighth round of the 1995 amateur draft. He did not sign, instead opting to attend Indiana University. He was then taken by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 18th round of the 1996 amateur draft. He played his only professional season that year with the GCL Devil Rays, hitting .247/.337/.272 in 37 games. He struck out in 24 of 81 at-bats. He played error-free ball in the field.
