Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Brad Fischer was not drafted out of college, but played one season in the Oakland Athletics farm system before spending eleven seasons as a minor league manager in the A's organization. In 1991-1993, Fischer was a minor league instructor for the A's, and in 1994-1995 he was the assistant director of player development. He was an Oakland coach from 1996 to 2007. After serving as roving catching instructor and managing in the Pittsburgh Pirates chain in 2008, he joined the Milwaukee Brewers coaching staff later in 2008. After spending 2009 and 2010 on the Brewers staff, he returned to the Pirates' organization in 2011 as an adviser to the Player Development department.

In 2015, he was a coach with the Pirates.
