Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Brad Baker was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 1999 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Ray Fagnant and made his pro debut that summer.

In 2002, Baker and Dan Giese were traded to the San Diego Padres for Alan Embree and Andy Shibilo. The Padres converted him to a reliever, and he led the Pacific Coast League with 27 saves in 2005. After that season, he signed with the Atlanta Braves organization. During the 2006 season, he was traded back to the Red Sox for Franklin Nunez. He finished his career in 2007.
