Biographical Information

While in college, Bon-ki Shin was picked for the South Korean team for the 2009 Baseball World Cup. Shin replaced Yong-kyu Choi at third base halfway through the tournament after Choi was struggling defensively. Shin hit .176/.364/.235 with 7 strikeouts in 17 AB and fielded .900.
