Biographical Information

Yong-kyu Choi was the primary third baseman for South Korea in the 2007 Baseball World Cup; he hit .240/.269/.360 but fielded only .833. He hit a solo homer off Leon Boyd for the lone South Korean run in a 5-1 loss to the Dutch national team, but he also made two errors in that game, leading to unearned runs. He was 3 for 32 for the 2008 KIA Tigers.
