Biographical Information[edit]
Bobby Layne pitched for the Lubbock Hubbers of the West Texas-New Mexico League in 1948, going 6-5 with a 7.29 ERA in 12 games. At the plate, he hit .206 in 34 at-bats. He is more well known as a football quarterback, winning three NFL championships, earning six Pro Bowl selections and being selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame.
