Biographical Information[edit]
Bob Wells recorded the first walk by a Seattle Mariners pitcher as a batter on July 3, 1997 off Sterling Hitchcock of the San Diego Padres; Joey Cora hit a home run the next at bat to score him. This was his only career plate appearance.
