Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Bob Roselli was in the majors for five seasons. He was up three years with the Milwaukee Braves but he had most of his at-bats during his two years with the Chicago White Sox.
Roselli missed the 1954 and most of the 1955 season due to military service. He started in the minors in 1950 and finished up in 1963.
His only career stolen base came on July 4, 1962 against the Baltimore Orioles. Milt Pappas was the pitcher and Hobie Landrith was the catcher.
''Oh man, did they treat us right. Every member of the team got a brand new car, a Desoto, and all the gas we needed. And since it was a beer town, they gave us free beer—enough to keep your refrigerator stocked." - Bob Roselli, quoted here [1], about what it was like when the Braves moved to Milwaukee
