Biographical Information[edit]
The first of a family of baseball executives, Bob Quinn broke into baseball as a catcher in 1893. After his playing career ended, he was an administrator in both the minor and major leagues. Among other positions, he was vice-president and business manager of the St. Louis Browns, president of the Boston Red Sox and president and general manager of the Boston Braves. Later on, he was the director of the Hall of Fame. Among his descendants were John Quinn, Bob E. Quinn, Susan Quinn and Margo Quinn.
