Biographical Information[edit]

Bob Hegman was at St. Cloud State University at the same time as Jim Eisenreich. The two both played for the Kansas City Royals, but Hegman was with them before Eisenreich was. Hegman's major league career was very brief, playing the 9th inning at second base in a 10-3 win over the Detroit Tigers on August 8, 1985. He never got to bat. That team won the 1985 World Series, although Bob's contribution was minimal.

Bob had seven seasons in the minors, during which he hit one home run.

He was Farm Director for the Kansas City Royals from 1993 to 2002. He later became a scout with the Minnesota Twins.
