Bob H. Gilmore was a minor league pitcher for three years. He went 9-3 with a 2.90 ERA for the 1953 Appleton Papermakers. The record is most impressive as the rest of the team posted a 34-74 record. He struck out 110 in 93 innings pitched.
His line was 13-5, 3.34 for the Lawton Braves the next year and 1-4, 6.40 for the '55 Vicksburg Hill Billies for a composite record of 23-12.
