Biographical Information[edit]
Second baseman Bob Farrick began his professional career in the Philadelphia Phillies chain in 1949, hitting .310 with 12 triples in 109 games for the Pulaski Counts. He moved to the Brooklyn Dodgers system in 1950.
He was taken by the Tacoma Tigers in the 1951 Rule V Draft Delayed Selections from the Granby Red Sox. He never played for the Tigers -- or for any team for half a decade. After being out of professional baseball due to Korean War military service for many years, he returned to the Phillies system in 1956 and 1957.
Overall, Farrick hit .263 with 417 hits in 452 games.
