Robert Sydens Doak

Bob Doak was the first athletic director in Elon College history, hired to that role in 1911. He coached the school's baseball, football and basketball teams from 1911-1915 and coached future big leaguer Bill Evans. He was 21-40 heading the baseball team. He also coached basketball for Duke University. His brother Chick Doak played in the minors and coached at the college level, while nephew Robert Doak played professionally as well.
