Biographical Information[edit]

Bob Danielson pitched in the minor leagues from 1950 to 1952, going 24-8 in affiliated ball and 30-12 overall. He began his career with the independent Minot Mallards, going 6-4 in 11 games. In 1951, he left his broadcasting job to tryout for the Chattanooga Lookouts of the the Washington Senators system. He made the team out of spring training, but was optioned to the Charlotte Hornets in June, going 11-3 with a 2.65 mark in 26 games between the two teams. In 1952, his final campaign, he went 13-5 with a Tri-State League-leading 2.62 ERA and .722 winning percentage for Charlotte. He also made 3 appearances for Chattanooga. On September 4, he tossed a no-hitter against the Anderson Rebels, winning 1-0.
