Biographical Information

Bob Batten played in the minor leagues in 1947 and 1948. He hit just .252 in 114 games between two teams his first season, but in 1948, he batted .304 with 164 hits in 135 games for the Baton Rouge Red Sticks. He led the Evangeline League with 128 runs scored.

He hit .282 with 265 hits in 249 games for his career.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
