Bo Zhao pitched for the Chinese national team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. He worked the 7th inning versus South Korea. He began by walking Bum-ho Lee on a full count. Yong-taik Park tripled in Lee. Min-jae Kim grounded out, then Jong-kook Kim hit a sacrifice fly. Jong-beom Lee singled then Byung-kyu Lee popped out to end Zhao's day. He had previously won Bronze with China in the 2005 Asian Championship, their first Asian Championship medal.
