Biographical Information

Catcher Blake Barthol was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 21st round of the 1995 Amateur Draft. He played nine minor league seasons in three organizations (Colorado, Seattle, and Pittsburgh). His final season was 2003, when he played for the Nashville Sounds of the Pacific Coast League. He hit .271/.388/.415. His fielding percentage as a catcher was .988; he played one game at first base, committing no errors in five total chances.
