Biographical Information[edit]
Bitsy Mott was the starting shortstop for much of the 1945 season for the Philadelphia Phillies. He was not much of a hitter but had good range in the field.
Mott's sister married Colonel Tom Parker, and Mott became a guard for Elvis Presley after his baseball days. He appeared in some of Elvis' movies. In later life he worked as a clown. Source: HistoricBaseball.com
He played professional baseball from 1939 to 1957. He managed in the minors in 1949 and 1950.
