Biographical Information[edit]
The son of longtime major leaguer Billy Werber, Billy Werber Jr. spent one year in professional baseball.
Werber was the All-American first baseman in 1952, one of two All-Americans on the Duke baseball team that year; the other was Dick Groat. He was in the US military in 1954-1955. Billy hit .251/.321/.456 for the 1956 Nashville Volunteers, going deep 15 times, but never played again in the minors.
