Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Billy Rowell was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round of the 2006 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Dean Albany and, at age 17, made his pro debut that summer with the Bluefield Orioles, hitting .329 in 42 games. He was then promoted to the Aberdeen IronBirds, where he hit .326 in 11 contests.

He was once ranked a Baseball America top 50 prospect (in 2007). However, he peaked at AA with the Bowie BaySox of the Eastern League in 2011, his last season in professional baseball, and never reached the major leagues.
