Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Billy Harris played two seasons in the majors. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 27th round of the 1966 amateur draft, out of Wilmington College, but still managed to reach the big leagues within two years, making his debut with the Indians in mid-June of 1968. He hit .213 in 38 games that year, then after the season was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the expansion draft. He was a member of the inaugural Royals team, in 1969, but only got into 5 games, going 2 for 7 towards the end of the year.
His minor league career stretched from 1966 to 1971, including the last four seasons at the AAA level.
