Biographical Information[edit]

Bill "Chauncey" Stuart played 20 games in the major leagues. In addition to several minor league seasons, he also managed the 1898 Bradford Pirates.

His body was laid to rest in Branch Cemetery in State College, PA.

"Stuart, the Franklin (Pa.) shortstop captured by Mack, was fancied by a half dozen managers." - Sporting Life, August 17, 1895
